We love an easy dinner recipe – especially when you can make it in the slow cooker! These cheesy chicken taquitos are a healthier homemade version than store bought or restaurant made (they’re baked, not fried!) – and they’re perfect for little hands who refuse to eat anything unless they can dip it in something!
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 250 minutes
Total time: 260 minutes
Servings: 10 Servings
• 2-3 bònëlëss, skïnlëss chïckën brëàsts
• 1 (1 òz) pàckët tàcò sëàsònïng
• 6 òz crëàm chëësë
• 1/4 cûp wàtër
• 1 1/2 cûps shrëddëd chëddàr chëësë
• 12 (6 ïnch) flòûr tòrtïllàs
• 1 Tàblëspòòn bûttër, mëltëd
• Sàlsà, fòr dïppïng
1. Plàcë chïckën brëàsts ïn à slòw còòkër ànd còvër wïth tàcò sëàsònïng. Add crëàm chëësë ànd wàtër.
2. Còòk òn hïgh fòr 4-6 hòûrs òn hïgh, 6-8 hòûrs òn lòw.
3. Prëhëàt òvën tò 400 dëgrëës.
4. Shrëd chïckën wïth twò fòrks ïn yòûr slòw còòkër, thën àdd chëddàr chëësë. Stïr tò còmbïnë.
5. Plàcë à smàll àmòûnt òf chïckën mïxtûrë òn ëàch tòrtïllà, thën ròll ëàch tòrtïllà ûp, plàcïng thëm sëàm-sïdë dòwn òn à bàkïng shëët.
6. Brûsh ëàch tàqûïtò wïth mëltëd bûttër, thën bàkë fòr 8-12 mïnûtës ûntïl ëdgës stàrt tò gòldën.
